The inside of John Sheppard’s mind is a fascinating place, and Esteefee is one of those authors who can really get deep in there. This is a slow, satisfying journey through that mind, watching John work through his own solitude, and watching him let himself open up to Rodney is completely lovely. [1]
Aggggh the John voice in this is immaculate (as is to be expected from esteefee ofc). Sardonically funny with a soft and chewy emotional core that just…takes a little time and a little chipping away at to get to. But, you know, worth it.[2]
