From the SnapeFest FAQ: "Brought to you by Snapecast, SnapeFest is the only Harry Potter conference that is “all Snape all the time.” SnapeFest is a single day meeting that Snape fans are devoting to celebrate and honor Professor Snape."[1]
It was scheduled to fit with Portus 2008, also in Dallas starting on July 10, but not officially affiliated with that convention.[2] Activities included various Snape-centric panels, a fashion show, potions class, and a candlelight vigil for the professor.
