Jaye: "Small Sacrifices". C/P. There are times I get tired of Chakotay always being the protective one. There are times I wanna read someone else taking care of Chakotay as well. There are times I actually find writers who accomplish that with utter ingenuity. This is a time like that. And guess what? Even with Tom taking care of Chak, the older man's protective nature doesn't really stay put. I guess it's his destiny to always be so giving, him of the big ol' heart. A breathtaking tale of love, compassion, and as the name suggests, sacrifice.[1]
