Slippery When Wet is a Professionals story by Rozel.

Reactions and Reviews

I feel slightly embarrassed at offering this review of Slippery When Wet by Rozel because I beta’d this for her. However, my input to her stories is minimal and on this occasion superficial. It is a beautiful story, though, and one which I don’t think should be lost in the wonderful, but now very large, Archive of Our Own.

As with many of Rozel’s fiction, this is set slightly outside of the CI5 arena. The boys are still CI5 agents and completely recognisable as such, but the setting does not involve a plot, but the everyday lives of two secret service agents.

Quite simply, the partners get more than they bargained for when helping out Doyle's niece when she has to produce photographic work for the final part of her course and to complete her portfolio. The final paragraph will send you off with the most wonderful visions ... this is merely a taster!

The image showed Doyle, still half clothed, leaning against a lamppost, hips canted forward, knee bent and one bare foot resting on the base of the post. Again the water showered down on him, small rivulets running down his body His head was thrown back and his eyes were closed. The expression on his face was that of a man embracing the sensual feel of the water as it caressed his naked skin. (this paragraph is supposed to be in italics!)

Rozel is able to paint the most wonderful pictures with her words and has the boys down to a T. I love her work. [1]

What could be better than a wet Doyle, posing? And bare feet... [2]

I skipped this when I saw it arrive, because it was listed as gen, I'm afraid. But that will teach me to judge by labels. Brilliant brilliant descriptions and I wish I could draw. Particularly, I wish I could draw that. [3]

I know what you mean ... and I think I may be guilty of the same "judging a book by its cover" at times. Which is all the more reason for having, not only the Reading Room, but this mini review. Well done BSL for the suggestion and taking into account your slash requirements, you may need to give this one a go. All you need is your imagination! To have someone illustrate this story would be the icing on the cake! [4]
