Excerpts
What was your first experience with fanfic?
Didn't know it existed till June 2001 when I was playing with my new computer and just for the hell of it, typed in Walter Skinner. I couldn't believe the number of sites that came up.
What was your first encounter with X-files fanfic?
A site called Walter's Wenches.
What was your favorite episode and why?
It's a toss up between Avatar and Zero Sum. Avatar for its great bedroom scene. Zero Sum cause you gotta love a guy who does bathrooms and looks THAT good in briefs.
What made you a Skinneroticist?
Are you kidding me? One look at that six foot two of lusciousness and I was a goner.
What are your top five all-time favorite stories?
In no particular order:
1. Blindfold by Xanthe. This one inspired one of my first stories called Rendezvous.
2. The Appointment by Sergeeva- she knows why!
3. Highland Tale by Leelee and Seeker One. I liked this series so much I wrote a poem for each installment.
4. A Little Light Reading by MLB I reread this one *many* times.
5. Thirty Years of Tears/To Sir with Love by Kristen. A touching story that took Skinner in a different direction.
When did you start writing?
June 2001. I wanted to see if I could write something more interesting than the grocery list.
What was the first X-files/Skinner story you wrote and what inspired it?
It's called New Year's Eve and it was basically an excuse to dress Walter up for evening, then undress him for fun.
How do you feel about fanfic in general?
It's a great way to see how writers give CC's characters a depth that he has elected not to. Some of the stories I've read would make wonderful movies.
