Excerpts

What was your first experience with fanfic?

Star Trek fanfic, from the original series, back shortly after it went into reruns. I wrote *appalling* Mary Sue on the Enterprise fanfic on Big Chief tablets with Write Bros. blue ballpoint pens.

What was your first encounter with X-Files fanfic?

I stumbled across ATXC. My life changed. I'm not overstating that. The pleasure of reading about TXF in new ways, the urge to write being reborn in me, the fun and the friendships - that's nothing less than life changing.

What are your top five all-time favorite stories?

Oh gee, give me a break. I can't even begin. It varies from day to day, mood to mood. But there are three that are always going to be on the list:

Sharp Focus by Lyrica

A Cold Angel Eye by Jordan

Shocking Blue by Manik

Where do your ideas come from? What inspires you?

Everything about Skinner inspires me. His story, his mind, his heart. His body.

What advice would you give to aspiring writers?

Write with your whole heart, from your whole heart, and for your whole heart.

That sounds trite but I truly mean it. Passionate writing is always the best writing
