Simple Plan is a Canadian rock band that formed in 1999. The band performed at Warped Tour every year from 1999 to 2005, and was a popular fandom for fanfic in the early/mid 2000s. However, it did not have its own category on Fanfiction.net before RPF was banned in 2002.
The members are Pierre Bouvier, Jeff Stinco, Sébastien Lefebvre, David Desrosiers, and Chuck Comeau. See Wikipedia for more details.
They are known in the Scooby Doo fandom as the singers of the What's New, Scooby Doo? theme tune, and appear as themselves in the episode Simple Plan and the Invisible Madman.
Their songs are used in fanvids, a popular choice being the song "Untitled", see examples How Could This Happen To Me? and Fading Away.
