Shin Sonic also known as The Sonic Tapes is a 2020s horror animation series by Evanimas. The series follows a demonic entity, Shinic, that has stolen the form of Sonic the Hedgehog, and begins feeding on his friends and civilians. As the creature feeds, he becomes increasingly large and deformed.
The series utilises multiple different visual styles, including flash and sprite based animations, real life footage, cg imagery, and collages of still images, sometimes within the same video.
The name "Shin Sonic" is believed to be a reference to Shin Godzilla, due to similarities in how both creatures grow and evolve.
