Midoriya Izuku/Shinsou Hitoshi , or, ShinDeku is a slash ship of Izuku Midoriya and Shinsou Hitoshi in the fandom Boku no Hero Academia.
Canon
They meet in canon during the Sports Festival. Shinsou is a general education student who would like to transfer to the Hero course, and needs to place well in the Sports Festival to earn a chance to do so. His 1-v-1 fight with Midoriya in the third round of the sports festival garnered a lot of fan interest.
Fandom
ShinDeku is the second most popular ship for Shinsou on AO3, after Shinkami. The platonic relationship between Midoriya & Shinsou is also quite popular in AO3 tagging.
Common Tropes & Fanon
- Non-hero AUs: both Midoriya and Shinsou faced uphill battles in their goal of becoming heroes due to their quirklessness and perceived "villainous" quirk, respectively. It's very popular to imagine AUs in which one or both of them didn't make it to become heroes, and instead become vigilantes or villains
