Shera is a minor character in the Square Enix video game Final Fantasy VII.

Canon

Shera is a maintenance technician who worked on the rocket in Rocket Town. Her 'captain', Cid Highwind, held resent towards her, because prior to the events of Final Fantasy VII, she insisted on fixing a vital component as the rocket was counting down to launch. In a last second bid to save her life, Cid hit the emergency override, and cancelled the launch. But it came at the cost of the space project losing funding, and Cid's dreams being crushed.

Shera's redemption came during the events of Final Fantasy VII where, in a bid to prevent the planet from being destroyed by a huge meteor, plans were made to launch the very same rocket into it. And Cid was chosen to launch it.

On his way to the escape pod, the same vital component malfunctioned and blew up, burying Cid under the debris. He was trapped, and all seemed hopeless as the ticket loomed ever closer to the meteor.

That was until Shera turned up, and helped him escape. Where he had sacrificed his dreams for her, she in return saved his life, and helped him achieve that very same dream.

Cid stopped shouting at Shera after that.

Shipping

Being such an obscure character, Shera is rarely seen, forget shipped. When she is, it's almost always with Cid.
