A Fan's Comment: 1998
Shalimar has long been one of my guilty pleasures when I am in the mood for, er, um, adult stories. The nice thing is her tales aren't all about sex. Well, I guess the award winning "Playing Goddess" sort of is, but it is just sooo good. Then again her post-"The Field Where I Died" tale, "The Letter" will make it certain you never look at a Ford Explorer the same way again. Pardon me while I cool down a bit. For you angst fans she's also penned a difficult piece (big content warning here) that explores some very harsh hero abuse in "The Dark Slide of Ecstasy". Her latest piece, however, is a completely sex-free post-"The Red and the Black" vignette that tells us what happened next in the car at the end entitled "Camp". [1]
