Okay, so I've already rec'd lalejandra once during my crack_van stint. There's a reason for that. She's just that damn good. And this story is just that hot. It starts when Fraser is unpacking some of Ray's things in their new apartment and finds a box with Ray's hidden past in it. A hidden past that involves guitar playing, eyeliner, and glam rock. One thing leads to another and Fraser steals a picture of a 20 year-old Ray because he likes it so much. This story is a great little glimpse at the two of them and what is still secret between them despite their relationship. And did I mention it was hot? [1]
God, okay. This is established relationship, moving in together, and Fraser finds Ray's box of mementos of the time when he was in a band. And just - it's ridiculously hot and completely in character, and doesn't have to be an AU at all, because it FITS with the Ray we know and love.[2]
set in the velvet goldmine universe, established-relationship--this is different from most of the fandom. the relationship is established but maybe still a little new, but it's truly established, totally solid. the plot's about--well. it's fraser feeling like he's snooping and ray not caring about that; fraser being turned on by eyeliner; and ray and fraser moving in together. and dief using the television remote.[3]
