San Japan is an annual anime convention held in San Antonio, Texas.
History
The first San Japan was held November 10, 2007 at Our Lady of the Lake University. Around 900 people attended that year.[2] Later the con would move to San Antonio Municipal Auditorium, and later to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and two nearby hotels.
2012's San Japan reportedly had over 9,000 attendees.[3] By 2019, attendance was reported as more than 20,107.[4]
Information about the 2024 convention was posted on March 15, 2024, with tickets available starting that day. San Japan 15 will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center from August 30th to September 1st.
