Saga is an ongoing monthly comics series written by Brian K. Vaughan and drawn by Fiona Staples and published by Image Comics. It was promoted by Vaughan as a creator-owned generational saga inspired by the extended Star Wars universe.

Fan involvement

The fantasy and mythology inspired design of the series and its characters has inspired cosplayers. An official cosplay contest was run by the creators,[1] and the first prize was awarded to a woman who dressed as "The Stalk", a bounty hunter who is half-woman, half-spider. Photos were uploaded to an image hosting site by the cosplayer, and then posted to Tumblr.[2]

The fandom has a modest Tumblr presence primarily under the tag #saga-comic due to obvious problems with a one-word title. Fandom tumblrs include Fuck Yeah Saga and Saga comic. It also has a sparse AO3 tag and and is represented well on Deviantart, although as of September 2013 there are no fanart collections dedicated to it.
