SHareCon Virtual Cons are held at the same time as SHareCon. They are a way for fans for Starsky & Hutch for fans who are unable to physically travel to Baltimore to gather and talk about their fandom.
The 2014 Introduction/Instructions
When you go to a real con like most everyone is this weekend, you have all sorts of activities that are about Starsky and Hutch. The virtual con will do the same.At a real con you have everything scheduled and you go to each event and if you miss it, you are out of luck. At a Virtual con we will post our events and hope to have you all come and play with us, but if you are busy at the time the person posts her activity, then you can come anytime you are available because it will be on the computer forever or until someone deletes it. If you go to the Starsky and Hutch archives and look under October 2010 and October 2012 you can still find everything we did and said still there from our first two Virtual SHareCon's. So time zones and kids activities shouldn't keep you from being involved!
How it works: This evening I will make a post over at the Starsky and Hutch LJ community that will say Welcome to the 3nd Annual Virtual SHareCon. Our actual con with panels and all with start tomorrow with a meet and greet activity organized by NG, but tonight I will be posting our goody bags to get us all excited about this years V-con. Your job would be to comment on my post and help fill the goodbags. Feel free to bring your own contributions to add to the goody bags. My motto is the more Starsky and Hutch goody's the better.
Does this make sense?
It is just like anything that we do on LJ, someone will post and you all will comment. Easy! We will be watching an episode of Starsky and Hutch together and having a discussion about it. We will be watching fanvids together. We will be playing a SH trivia game. We will have panel discussions. We will have a drawing for a zine and the Starsky and Hutch game,to be given away to the lucky person. And there's a lot more fun in-store for the all that want to be apart of our Vcon.
