Ryuk (リューク, Ryuuku^?) is a character in the manga and anime Death Note.

Canon

Ryuk offers his Death Note to Yagami Light at the start of the series. He seems to be mostly doing it for the chaos and his own entertainment -- he's more or less an ally of Light but frequently claims that he'll turn on Light if it seems the more interesting option.
