A Runaway AU consists of someone, typically a minor, running away from their home, family, and known life. Many times, this trope includes two people running away together, for a more romantic or friendship-oriented take, and in others, two or more people meet after having already run away, sometimes resulting in found family. The most angsty fics usually involve a person running away from their friends, as well, or a love interest.
