An Everyone Thinks We're Doing It and (Not So) Fake Relationship fic. I don't usually like having both POVs, but this one is really funny as well as hot. Gossipy crew and oblivious!K/S are to die for.

Tired of having crew members throwing themselves at them, Kirk ropes in Spock with a plan to make the crew believe they are involved together. This is blissful torture for Spock who is for briefly allowed to act on the feelings he can never admit. But the crew seems puzzlingly blind to their “slips” and as they are “forced” to do more and more intimate things in public, Kirk gets into the “game” more than he'd have thought.... Funny and full of sexy little moments.

1994

When I read this title in the Table of Contents, I thought, I know this story. But it was misleading: there exists a story “Rumor Has It” by Devery Helm also! Apart from that the only thing they have in common is that I love them both! D.A. Marsh’s story is really great, written with such a good sense of humor! E.g. that scene on the bridge was gorgeous, when Spock considered his possibilities logically: “If sex were the goal in mind, Spock saw no reason not to simply state as much from the beginning. Walking up to Jim and asking him if he wished to have sex would certainly provide the crew with a definite clue.” Please imagine this!!!!! Another favorite scene is the training of the kiss (p. 144-145). Terrific!

2009

This is what made me start to read TOS as a way of life, and it's also the one I would recommend reading before all others. It keeps the characterizations and the feel of TOS while being written with a modern kind of feel, like you're reading reboot fic. The story itself is fun, romantic, and with just the right amount of silly hijinks. It's a staple, it's my favorite TOS fic, and I've read it a million times.

I think this is my favorite of your fics :). I just love seeing Kirk and Spock "coerced" into doing more and more intimate things in public, torturing Spock a little further each time and slowly making Kirk realize that hey, It's actually AWESOME! Lol. And it's just too funny that NOBODY in the crew repeated the rumor because they though they KNEW. Muahaha. Same way all of us viewers know Kirk and Spock love ea«ch other but THEY never talked about it ;). Great story. Thank you!

Dayum! That was awesome. Like, seriously. I have not enjoyed a fic this much for a really long time. When I clicked on it, I was like, "Oh blurgh, it's loooooong, and I dun feel like reading it!", but then I started to, and I couldn't stop. It was addicting, and hilarious, and heartwarming. I effing loved the kissing practice part. Ho-hum! *Fans self to cool off from all the awesome* Well... thanks for that!

Grasping Kirk's head in both big hands, Spock utilized every scrap of skill he possessed to strip Kirk's senses from him while greedily drinking of the sweet coolness of the surprise-slackened lips. Sanity returned with the sound of Kirk's deep-throated, muffled groan and the sliding caress of strong fingers down his back. He tore his mouth away and took two stumbling steps back, frantically ordering his body back under his control and his face to impassivity.

This is the scene that undid me completely!!! Wonderful, wonderful and way too hot! Stripped him of his sense alright---well, heck YEAH! Great story, just perfect for a rainy Saturday afternoon, like this one! Begs to be read again and again---and again!

This fic is adorable and incredibly fun. Kirk and Spock's efforts are hilarious--it turns out it's hard to pretend to be having an affair AND pretend to be trying to conceal it--and as for the rest of the crew's reactions, well. Read it and laugh. XD

This was delightful! The clever seperation of getting to read what Kirk and Spock thought the impression the crew had, and the actual impression, was very entertaining.

A favourite fic to bring cheer in bad days.

i'll have you know you made me make that noise ALOUD a total of 5 times during this piece. what an absolute delight it is. a comedy of manners - reminded me of sheridan's 'school for scandal' - everybody miscomprehending the understandings of all others so completely and exquisitely and those understandings and misunderstandings interacting and enmeshing into a comedy of errors fit for a king. bravo. thoroughly enjoyed it!
