Revenant is a Duncan/Methos Highlander story by MacGeorge and Rachael Sabotini.

Reactions and Reviews

First the bad: this story features a particularly irritiating Mary Sue, who has the emotional maturity of a thirteen-year-old. If the rest of this story weren't so good, she would probably be enough to prevent me from reccing it.

Fortunately, the rest of the story is *great*. Highlander is one of the few fandoms that can boast actual supernatural underpinnings in canon and MacGeorge and Rachel take full advantage of that flexibility. A ghost from Duncan's past comes back to exact a little (oh, who am I kidding, a *lot* of) revenge on Duncan by way of killing off everyone Duncan loves. Methos, with his usual good timing, decides now is the time to see if MacLeod is interested in being a little more than friends.

Dark and spooky, with a little angst and lots of jealousy, this is a good story for those who are tired of all of the fluff I recommend. Enjoy! [1]
