Reactions and Reviews
1990
This established K/S story is based on the premise that the once every seven years canard is true. If I swallow that, I have to believe that the value of K/S for Spock, in between pon-farrs, is in the telepathic rapport. So the author's reaffirmation of the relationship is one-sided. Spock gives Kirk the sex he wants and needs as a human, but Kirk doesn't give Spock the mind melding that he would want and need as a Vulcan, it seems unfair somehow. [1]
