Raine Whispers is a supporting character in The Owl House TV series.
Canon
Raine is a witch specializing in Bard magic, and becomes head of the Bard Coven in their debut episode. They secretly use their position to gain inside knowledge of Emperor Belos' master plan, and work with other rebels to prevent his schemes from coming to fruition. Among these rebels is Eda Clawthorne, their childhood friend and ex-girlfriend.
Fandom
Raine became a fan-favorite character immediately after their debut. Much has been said about their importance for queer representation, as they are canonically nonbinary character who uses they/them pronouns. The formerly canon pairing of Eda Clawthorne/Raine Whispers quickly became one of the most popular ships in the fandom.
