Rabidsamfan is a fanwriter active in multiple fandoms, including Lord of the Rings and, most recently, various incarnations of Sherlock Holmes.

Rabidsamfan: GeoCities site

She maintained a Trapper John, M.D. website with information on the show (a M*A*S*H spinoff), as well as writing fanfiction for it. Her personal fanfiction and information site was hosted on GeoCities, and is part of the OTW's GeoCities Rescue Project.

Lord of the Rings

Rabidsamfan writes Lord of the Rings fanfiction, often focusing on the hobbit characters, particularly Samwise Gamgee, from which her pseud derives. She writes: This pen-name arose because I have been a rabidsamfan ever since I first read the Lord of the Rings, and Sean Astin only helped.[1]

Her vignette Nine Riders won the short fiction section of the Mithril Awards in 2005.[2]
