Some Excerpts
I read an article in my local newspaper in 2003 about fan fiction and it mentioned Fiction Alley. So I joined and started reading everything I could find. It took about three months for me to work up the courage to start writing.
For me, collaborations are the most fun to write. When I wrote Quantcome Leap with Shocolate, we had a general idea of the story concept, but we wrote it in turns, so neither of us had a clue where the other would leave off. It was something like 10,000 words in three days, which is the fastest I've ever written that much.
Nothing will improve your writing like a good beta reader. Ask them to be brutally honest with you and then take their advice. If you're open to concrit, you can learn a lot from other writers.
Could [JKR] please write an alternative ending to the series where Harry and Ron end up romantically involved and living happily ever after?
