Author's Comments
There's nothing quite like undermining a good story with a thinly-plotted, ultra shallow sequel. I do think I accomplished what was most important to me at the time -- maintaining the tender tone of the original story. But that wasn't enough to give the story any substance. This ultimately ended up being the end of the line for the Southy byline and my fandom writing career.[1]
