Author's Comments
Every once in a great while, you’re in the midst of writing a story and you think you’re onto something that’s going to be wonderful. (Jon Bon Jovi was telling Larry King the same thing the other night – and admitting how wrong he sometimes is.) – even for an AU, which naturally is going to have a smaller potential audience. Though it’s always dangerous to presume because the disappointment can sometimes be difficult to bear. I really, really liked writing this. I’ve always had a bit of favoritism for “sentinels are known” AUs, and I liked the (relatively) more positive tone of this. I think it came across very fresh. I like re-reading it quite a bit myself. I’m so glad that a relatively large number of readers reacted favorably.[1]
