Princess Zoisite was a writer and an artist in the Sailor Moon fandom. She was a big fan of the Zoycite/Malachite pairing from the DiC dub of Sailor Moon, her stories focused entirely on their relationship and how she imagined their romance came to be. She was also a fan of fairy tales, and would write her own versions of stories such as Cinderella or Rapunzel featuring Zoycite and Malachite as the romantic leads.

She also drew fanart of the pair or Zoycite herself, though much of her artwork has been lost to time and the internet.

Reputation among Dark Kingdom fandom

Princess Zoisite was not well-liked among Dark Kingdom fans. One major reason was her insistence on the female Zoycite; she had never seen the original episodes and did not care to. For fans of the at-the-time subversive yaoi couple of Kunzite/Zoisite and the character of Zoisite himself, this was considered fandom heresy at least and conducive to homophobia at most.[1]

Another problem was her portrayal of the characters. Even fans of Zoycite or Zoycite/Malachite found her stories completely out of character for the headstrong, bombastic Zoycite was written as a soft, girly, weak damsel in distress or passive princess, while the loving and patient but sadistic Malachite was written as a boring knight in shining armor to comfort and rescue her. For fans who appreciated her and Malachite being a romantic heterosexual couple who defied the typical tropes and stereotypes of the era, it was a slap in the face to see them written as a generic romance novel pair.[2]

This reputation wasn't entirely undeserved, either, as she was known to pick fights with and send nasty e-mails to other fans.[3] She didn't take criticism of her stories well at all, despite her stories being of extremely poor quality. Her spelling and grammar were subpar, and her lemons showed a disturbing lack of knowledge about sex and over-reliance on trashy romance novels as a guide. Fans she tangled with found her incredibly passive-aggressive in her arguments.

Her fanfiction was MSTed by a few fans back in the old days.
