Portals of Time is an anthology of mainly Star Trek TOS fan poetry, published by fan author Betsi Ashton and Pendragon Printing in 1986. The book is digest-size, 104 pages long (including 100 pages of poetry and artwork, plus an Author's Note and Contents page).

It contains 60 poems, including one named "The Spaceman" which is clearly aimed at paying tribute to the Apollo astronauts.

The book was gratefully dedicated to Jan and Gordon Peterson.

The front cover of "Portals of Time", a poetry anthology by Betsi Ashton, 1986.

In her Author's Note, she editorialised to her readers:

Our world is all before you -

exciting, diverse -

and,

any day now,

the Universe.

This was the second (expanded) collection that Betsi compiled of her poetry, the first being in The Star Gazer (1979). Those earlier poems were also reprinted in this later anthology, while some of them have also appeared in other fanzines. In one inscribed copy of this book, Betsi indicated that the poem "Beyond the Edge of the World" was dedicated to Diane Marchant, and this poem was read aloud by Geoff Allshorn at Diane's funeral in 2006.
