Pillar Talk is a Blake's 7 story by Sue Bursztynski.

The story is based on Spock Enslaved!, and inspired by the art that became the cover of The Other Side #2.

It was published in The Other Side #1.

Cover of The Other Side #2, by Lana Brown, an homage to Spock Enslaved!. This illustration also appeared in issues #4, #1, #6 and #8.

The author commented on this story:

When I got into Blake's 7 fiction, I wrote a story in which Avon is chained to a pillar on a matriarchal world and has to be rescued by teleport, still chained to the pillar. It was published in Susan Batho's "naughty" fanzine and that wonderful writer-illustrator Lana Brown did a delightful Svon chained to a pillar which not only made it to the cover but was re-used in following issues.[1]

Reactions and Reviews

Inspired by a picture of a naked Avon chained to a pillar. People do love to put the man in embarrassing situations, for some reason.[2]
