Ship Name

The nickname Peachshipping, like most of the Pairing Names for Yu-Gi-Oh ships, comes from an element from the series: Tea's virtual pet from one of the early chapters from the manga, named Peachy ( Sumomo-chan in japanese, meaning either peach or plum), probably in reference of her own original name meaning Apricot. In the same chapter, Peachy gets eaten by a bully's digital pet, and Yugi's pet named U2 transforms to fight him.

Common Tropes in Fanworks

  • Tea coming back from America and reuniting with Yugi.
  • Discussions about Tea's crush on Yami Yugi, usually with her realizing her feelings for Yugi.
  • The two bonding after Atem is gone.
