Reactions and Reviews: Issue 1

Printed on lilac-colored paper (except the art), this adult novella tells how, after recovering Catherine and Jacob (alluded to rather than fully detailed) in an alternative 3rd Season scenario, V's troubles aren't over. He's tried on three occasions to make love to C, but his body betrayed him each time by climaxing too soon. He's also having terrible nightmares that he's unable to talk about and which have a definite erotic component. Concerned and determined, C takes some essential items, like a bed, silk clothing, and an adequate supply of food, to The Cave, where V has adamantly refused to go. Furious at the coercion, V comes to the hated place to conduct her home...but is distracted by the prospect of supper. Then other appetites surface. V/C make love virtually continually from then on. The various combinations, positions, and progressions of foreplay and aftermath are all described in full detail. Occasionally V/C talk about his prior fears, his nightmares, his experiences while he believed her lost to him, and his deep inhibitions about voicing his sexual needs, in between conversational fragments of a more ardent sort. Fans of nonstop sexual marathons will find this just what they've been looking for.

Erotic but not fully explicit art by Inez Brown, including the cover and a notable foldout page at the end. Graphics by Rosemarie Hauer and Shirley Leonard. Occasional bits of song lyrics are included. [1]

Issue 2

Reactions and Reviews: Issue 2

At the start of this second volume of Passion, Vincent is fussed because lover Catherine has been gone some days, taking care of Nancy Tucker’s kids while Nancy is in the hospital. He writes agonized journal entries, hangs around in the park in the rain and (pardon the euphemism) gives himself manual sexual relief there, and inspects himself wonderingly while bathing. This takes about 20 pages. Then Catherine returns, and the balance of the zine is a series of highly explicit sexual encounters between Vincent and Catherine, both Above and Below. All pertinent body parts are lavishly detailed, with lots of erotic adjectives. No position or intimate touch or sound goes unmentioned. For those who, like Vincent and Catherine, never tire of passion, this will be a satisfying and enjoyable zine. Five drawings, one of which involves frontal nudity of Vincent but most of which are more romantic portraiture, by Inez Brown, who also provided the art for the laminated b&w cover. [2]
