Fan Gatherings at Page's Bar in London were casual gatherings at a pub in Westminster, London, England.
They were a form of a regional, small fan gathering, and in some instances, a very small scale convention.
These fan gatherings began in 1999 with only a few fans in attendance. The focus of the first gatherings was Xena.
As the years went on, more and more of the gatherings included appearances of actors who portrayed characters from a variety of science fiction television shows such as Buffy, vampires, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The X-Files, Farscape, Babylon 5, and others.
It is unknown who produced and organized these events.
Earlier in the 1990s, Bob Benton, the landlord of the pub, had already established a weekly event known as The Star Trek Fan Club on Saturday nights. Fans and staff alike would cosplay as Star Trek characters on the theme nights, and food and drinks were renamed with trekkish monikers like Cardassian Korma or Romulan ale. Memorabilia were sold and fans could watch Star Trek episodes that were shown on a large video screen all night.[1]
As of February 1996, Page's was already refered to as London’s Star Trek-themed bar.[2]
