A commonly used term for a pseudonym in Japanese fandom. PN is an abbreviation of "pen name" (ペンネーム, pen neemu). "HN", an abbreviation of "handle name" (ハンドルネーム, handoru neemu), is sometimes used as a synonym for PN. A fan's PN may or may not be the same name as the doujinshi circle they belong to (or embody, given that some circles consist of only one person).
