Summary

This is a very plausible K/S/Mc scenario. Spock goes into pon-farr while Kirk is absent, and McCoy saves his skin. I really liked the aspect of Kirk's presence through the link and knowing his reactions—both physical and psychological. That was very well done. I'm not much of a McCoy fan, but stories like this make me have more appreciation for "the third wheel". While this ending was rather predictable, the author did a good job of telling an intense, poignant story. I liked it that Kirk was a factor in the sex scene. In fact, there was so much love between Kirk and Spock in this story that I would like to see the prequel.[1]
