Reactions and Reviews
This sequel to "Only for You" is somewhat predictable. Spock comments in the story that originality isn't a virtue, but I'm not a Vulcan so I find it difficult to agree. I have now read a number of K/S/Mc stories with virtually the same relationship dynamics. It's become a formula. I also didn't think very highly of Kirk's statement that he could go and seduce McCoy because he doesn't have Spock's integrity. He has his own integrity, and that wouldn't permit Kirk to do such a thing. Kirk seduces enemies and people he wants to use. When it comes to friends, first. I feel that this was out of character for Kirk. he considers their feelings While this story and its prequel don't get many points in the originality department, I think they are perhaps the author's most flawless works. The sentences flowed together well, the scenes moved smoothly from one to the next, the author's customary excellent use of detail was there, and many of the scenes ended with a powerful statement (such as "He knew he was drinking too much.") that drew the reader in. The sex scene was very nicely written, except that it went on too long. I'm not a menage fan, but this story was a very good read. I think what I perhaps appreciated more than anything was the fact that it dealt with adult problems—problems which don't always have an easy solution. [1]
(32 pages) - Sequel to "Only for You"; the three of them are bonded, but McCoy fights the bond and everything it implies, wanting to return to their previous state and wanting back his privacy. It takes first Kirk's, then Spock's initiative until McCoy allows himself to admit to his true feelings...K/S/Mc with K/S, S/Mc and K/Mc scenes in it, sometimes painful; intense; hot scenes, satisfying ending.
