This short story was full of wonderfully deep feelings and emotions. The author conveyed Kirk's deep sadness at Spock's inability to remember without becoming maudlin. And the subsequent meld which restores Spock's memories was simply but effectively drawn. "I love you more than life itself, Spock", Kirk says. And we know it's true. [1]
