One for All, abbreviated OFA, is the name of All Might's quirk in Boku no Hero Academia. It has the unique ability to be transferred to other people, and it contains "vestiges" of previous holders.
Aside from its all-around super-strength ability, it contains elements of the previous users' quirks, which Izuku Midoriya gradually learns to tap into. In some fanfics, it is more than that.
It is sometimes portrayed as sentient or haunted[1], or having other unique abilities. In others, the villain All for One desperately wants the quirk returned to him, although in "Dad for One" stories, sometimes he is happy for the quirk to be returned to his family. A common AU trope is "someone other than Midoriya gets OFA."
