The Author's Foreword
If you haven't read The Bridge by Cynthia Hatch, this story may not make much sense, since it picks up where the other left off. Please know, it was never my intent to try and out do The Bridge, after all, how can you out do perfection? The reason I felt I had to write this was solely a personal one. I had to make Catherine and Vincent real again. It was my way of recapturing a little of the magic that had begun to slip away, it is my way of remembering how special this show was to me.In case you have any doubts, Cynthia has read my story and has graciously given consent to use her characters and premise. To this I will be forever grateful.
Please approach this as "light reading." It was not meant to be analyzed or dissected. It is nothing more than a cute story. Enough said...I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

This continuation of the premise of Cynthia Hatch’s famed novelette, “The Bridge,” was produced with that author’s blessing. In it, Catherine begins to resist the former story’s insistence that Vincent and the world Below were all a sick fantasy and finds she far prefers it to her sane reality, complete with Vincent-resembling boyfriend Phillip. Despite Dr. Grafton’s urgings, she finds convincing the increasing number of correspondences with her fantasy that she finds popping up around her. The writing of this zine is more earnest than polished, but those who like its premise will probably enjoy it. Recently reissued after being out of print for some while. [1]
