The Nothers are a faction of Forever Knight fans who write crossover romantic stories involving Natalie Lambert with A. N. Other, i.e. someone who is not a character in Forever Knight. Members of the Nothers aver that none of the series regulars is going to make her happy, and she needs to look outside FK to find true love.
This could mean pairing Natalie with an original character, but usually means writing a crossover with another television series. Joe Dawson from Highlander, and Chance Harper from Strange Luck are among the characters who featured as romantic partners for Natalie in stories written by members of the Nothers.[1]
History
The Nothers were created in the winter of 1998-9, and took part in War 10 the following August. Their faction leader was Fleurette.
Although essentially defunct, the faction does still have one member, Liz the Lucky.
Headquarters
During war, the Nothers "live" in an old chateau (Chateau des Autres) in Toronto.
Faction Website
Briefly, the Nothers had a faction website at http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/Studio/4588.
Faction Icon
In 2012, Greer Watson created an icon for the Nothers as part of her project to create a set of icons for all the Forever Knight factions. The design composits a screen capture of Natalie (seen from behind holding a TV remote) looking at a contemporary television. The screen shows a male silhouette on a background of static, with a small red heart on the man's chest. Behind the television are posters featuring Joe Dawson and Chance Harper, two of the characters who appeared in stories by the Nothers.
