One of the obvious advantages of fanfic is that it can fill in blanks a show leaves open. This story does that for Scully's "Per Manum" in vitro decision in a way that's an odd mix of realistic and implausible. I think that's why I like it so - I know it would never ever happen this way, but I don't care because the words and emotions are so pure, sweet, and wonderful. [1]
