A nonny is a person who posts or sends anonymous comments in a forum. Nonny is a common term to describe the participants at Fail_fandomanon and other anon memes. Use of the term on anon memes may have originated in Supernatural fandom.[citation needed] The earliest Urban Dictionary definition for nonny being used as another word for an anon is 2011,[1] and a secondary, much older definition, comes from around 2003-2004, describing nonny as being used in place of noob or a cheater at online video games.[2]
