Summaries

Reactions and Reviews
Most everyone picks this as their favorite Fanny Adams story -- it's one of mine, too, but also one of her more frustrating. It's too short, way too short.[2]
I love how this story combines the pragmatic with the romantic. We see Doyle learn some truths, sort of file them away, but not be overly concerned about them. But when he does decide to push on to the inevitable next step, the story makes a 180º turn. Now, it's important and emotional and just lovely.[3]
Wow, thank you for the rec. I thought everyone had forgotten my Prosfic. Glad you enjoyed it.[4]
No - NOT forgotten!I liked this story very much, and 'What the Thunder Said'. I read Cat Tales and loved the first one particularly, although I admit to losing interest later on...
You'll be read as long as there are people interested in Pros.[5]
I liked the plot idea, but I found the pace a bit too brisk, one thing led to another too quickly in every single scene (poor Bodie didn't even have a chance to kiss Doyle so he had to come back to do that later!) I don't think I've read any of Fanny Adams either, for much the same reason [crudely commented upon in an earlier comment at the same journal] - I imagine it will some sort of Victorian melodrama.[6]
but I found the pace a bit too brisk Yes it's quite short and clipped. But I sort of like their matter-of-fact approach here. I could imagine they went about those things this way.[7]
I like it overall. Neither man is a blushing, scared virgin which works for me. This story has them more like rational, adult men I feel, rather than men disguised as women. *g* [8]
an unusual take on the undercover-as-gay thing with a very usual schmoopy ending. cute, though, particularly in the middle. [9]
