A Nico Nico chorus is a kind of video, generally posted on the video sharing website NicoNicoDouga and then sometimes reposted to other sharing sites like YouTube.[1] The creator of a Nico Nico chorus video combines the audio tracks from videos of multiple other people singing the same song to create a kind of group karaoke. Songs often come from anime, Vocaloid, or the pop charts, and any number of audio tracks can be included, from a few to a few hundred.
The accompanying videos may consist of a simple background image, but sometimes every singer is assigned an avatar that appears when their voice is heard.[2] The videos may also contain scenes from relevant anime or other moving images.
