Newsies/Titanic crossovers had a small community in early Newsies fansites. Works were featured in fandom archives, including Bottle Alley: Newsies Fan Fiction.[1] Many fans enjoyed both films but did not write crossover fanfiction.[2]
The Geocities site Tewsies: A Titanic & Newsies Adventure was online by January 1999.[3] It included a page dedicated to character parallels[4] and various pages about Newsies. One work was posted to Fanfiction.net in 2002[5] and another in 2014.[6] Fusions have been written as recently as 2022.[7]
