Newsbians is a general ship name (derived from Newsies + lesbians) used in the Newsies fandom to refer to sapphic pairings, especially Katherine Plumber/Sarah Jacobs. The name first appeared as a Tumblr username.[1]
Katherine/Sarah
In posts still online, it begins appearing as a ship name for Katherine/Sarah in mid-2014[2] and can be found on other sites like AO3 and DeviantArt by October[3] and November.[4] Newsbians is still used among fans who headcanon Katherine as bisexual.
