Narzain Ye Kui Newsletter was started by Devra Langsam in 1978 or 1979. In 1980, Langsam passed this newsletter on to another fan, Tess Kolney. Devra N'Ha Felizia (Devra Langsam) wrote:
It is now more than a year since I last sent out a Free Amazon newsletter. I find that the other responsibilities and tasks I have taken on myself don't leave me anough time to do the work of putting out a regular (even infrequent) newsletter. I guess that I just find other forms of piablication and communication more congenial. The fact that I haven't been able to do it seems to indicate that I'm not likely to be a good bet to do it in the future. Anyway, this is an official notification that I'm giving up the Newsletter. If the people who offered to take it over last year will get back in touch with me, I'll send them the files and the money that's left over. What I'd suggest that everyone do is wait for an announcement in the FRIENDS OF DARKOVER NEWSLETTER. We have had some rousing fights and some very good talks, and it's been nice to talk to other women. I hope that someone else picks the Newsletter up, but if not, it's still been a pretty good time we had. [1]
In 1986, Kolney wrote:
NARZAIN YE KUI NEWSLETTER of the Free Amazon Guild is available to all women who support the Oath of the Comhi Letzii and have an interest in Marion Zimmer Bradley's Free Amazon Guild from her Darkover books. We publish letters, articles, reviews, artwork, cartoons, jokes, recipes, anecdotes, costume renderings, member bios, and even an occasional poem. The newsletter is available with membership to Narzain Ye Kui. We ask $7 a year membership, more if you can, less if you can't. NO WOMAN IS EVER DENIED THE NEWSLETTER DUE TO INABILITY TO PAY. We like to think of the newsletter as the Terran equivalent of a Guildhouse. (Note: the newsletter comes out irregularly, between two and four times a year.) [2]
