About

From Fandom Directory #5:

THE MYTHOPOEIC SOCIETY is a literary and educational organization devoted to the study, discussion and enjoyment of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Charles Williams, and their types. "Mythpoeic" is defined as myth-making, so they are adding onto the legends when possible; analyzing at other times. Since 1967, they have been doing their odd things, holding Mythopoeic Conferences annually, starting discussion groups, and putting together their Archives. "In combination with the Founder's (Glen GoodKnight's) personal holdings, this collection is believed to be the most extensive collection on J.R.R. Tolkien in the world -- including books from Tolkein's [sic] library -- as well as one of the better collections on Lewis and Williams in the USA." My garsh, they also publish so many things I am not sure I can list them all---here goes: Mythlore (journal), Mythprint (newsletter), Mythellany (annual), Parma Eldalamberon (linguistic journal), Narnia Conference Proceedings (about Narnia), Mythcon I, II, & III Proceedings (Conference reports). WHEW!! $6.00 for second-class sub to Mythprint gets you membership. Write to Lee Speth, 1008 N Monterery St, Alhambra, CA 91801.
