Mystery Science Theater 3000 was a comedic television show in which the central characters, forced to watch terrible movies, preserve their sanity by making fun of what they see on screen. The show lends its name to the fan practice MST-ing also called "Riffing."

Hosts

The first central human character on the TV show was Joel Robinson, played by Joel Hodgson. Jonah Heston hosted the short-lived reboot. Emily Connor appeared as a host on some tours.
