I think that vid is a desert island one for me too! It is one of my top go-to vids, mainly because of the way she handles the reaction shot. First we have this wildly inappropriate song, and that's given to Rodney as the POV character--and we know from canon that Dramatic, OTT, wildly inappropriate songs are well within his sphere of characterization. And she sells us by giving us the John reaction, building from a clear WTF? (which is our initial reaction as audience) to an amused, fond tolerance for Rodney and his wildly inappropriate metaphors. He is our stand-in for the piece, and it wins me over just as it wins over John. It is awesome in it's use of reactions. [1]
