On July 21, 2015, Granger Enchanted announced the passing of Ms Figg.[1]
In 2017, the Harry Potter podcast Potterotica read aloud In the Prefect's Bathroom, a Hermione/Snape fic that Ms Figg had published on Fanfiction.Net in 2009. They explained in a short episode posted in March 2017 that they had reached out to her family and received permission to use her story.[2]
