Milton A. Rothman was active in early science fiction fandom. He joined the Science Fiction League in 1934 and founded its Philadelphia branch (later the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society) in the same year. He was one of the few fans at the First Convention in 1936. Later he was a charter member of the National Fantasy Fan Federation.
